License
What you can do with free and Pro items, in plain language.
In one line
Use free and Pro items in as many personal, client and commercial products as you like. Don’t resell or share the source as a UI kit, template or library.
Free items
Free components, blocks and themes are released under the MIT license. You may use, copy, modify and distribute them, including in commercial products, as long as the copyright notice and license text stay with substantial copies of the code.
Pro items: what you can do
- Use Pro items in unlimited personal, client and commercial projects, including products you sell.
- Change the code however you like and combine it with your own.
- Ship it inside compiled apps and websites your end users use.
- Keep using everything you downloaded, for good, as long as your purchase wasn’t refunded.
Pro items: what you can’t do
- Resell, give away or publish the Pro source on its own, or as part of a UI kit, template, theme or component library.
- Put Pro source in a public repository where others can copy it.
- Build a product that lets others generate or download Pro items, such as a site builder or a code generator.
- Share your account or access key with people who aren’t covered by your plan.
Who is covered
- Pro covers one person. You can use it for your own work and for clients.
- Team covers up to 10 people in the same company or team, each with their own access.
- Clients who receive a finished project from you may keep using and changing it; they don’t need their own license.
When the license ends
The Pro license ends if the purchase is refunded or if you seriously break these terms. Projects you already shipped to end users can stay as they are.
Not sure?
If you’re unsure whether your use is covered, write to partner@nextui.com before you start. We usually say yes.
